This relation between human and nature is clearly described throughout most of the stories. Humans are mostly turned into nature when they die. I think that this can have a meaning. Humans do whatever they like to do with nature so maybe they are put in that situation to feel and see how humans treat and abuse nature. “Endeavoring to step back, she found she could not move her feet; trying to turn away her face, she tried in vain; and by degrees all her limbs became stony like her heart.” People sometimes are too self interested and think that everything they have is the best that each time a lover asks them to be their partner they say no because he/she is not as perfect as he/she. I think that is being too selfish and egocentric, I think that you have to be more open and give people more chances. “That you may not doubt the fact, the statue still remains, and stands in the temple of Venus at Salamis, in the exact form of the lady. Now think of these things, my dear, and lay aside your scorn and your delays, and accept a lover. So may neither the vernal frosts blight your young fruits, nor furious winds scatter your blossoms!”
“She praised the tree and its associated vine, equally. “But,” said she, “if the tree stood alone, and had no vine clinging to it, it would have nothing to attract or offer us but its useless leaves. And equally the vine, if it were not twined round the elm, would lie prostrate on the ground. Why will you not take a lesson from the tree and the vine, and consent to unite yourself with some one?”
“Give me the palm of beauty over my illustrious rivals, Pallas and Juno. But she shall not so quietly usurp my honors. I will give her cause to repent of so unlawful a beauty.” I really don’t like this reaction to kill someone just because she was born with a special treat or with magical beauty. I think that people should not be condemned for things that they have no knowledge of doing.
“Love cannot dwell with suspicion.” “So saying, he fled away, leaving poor Psyche prostrate on the ground, filling the place with mournful lamentations.” I really like the quote that Cupid said “Love cannot dwell with suspicion” because I think it is true. If you really love someone you don’t need to be suspicious with him or her because if your partner loves you he or she shouldn’t do things that hurt you.
“Thus Psyche became at last united to Cupid, and in due time they had a daughter born to them whose name was Pleasure. Cupid and Psyche” Love will most of the time triumph over evil. Love’s triumph also depends on the integrants because if they give up easily because they see an obstacle between them then love will easily fail but if love is true it will reign over every obstacle.
